Responsibilities:

Our Award Winning Client is seeking a Full-Time Onsite Educator to facilitate the professional role development and growth of nurses and other healthcare personnel on the Transport Team, catering to individuals at various experience levels from novice to expert. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with nursing leadership and staff to assess learning needs and competencies
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating education plans/programs, utilizing methods and tools for assessing learning goal achievement
  • Serving as a resource for staff in program development, clinical practice, and professional development
  • Planning and conducting orientation onboarding activities, encompassing classroom and skills/simulation lab learning
  • Facilitating employee onboarding to ensure role integration on both unit and system-wide levels, focusing on retention and growth
  • Assisting in developing, coordinating, and evaluating competency programs, identifying deficiencies in staff competency
  • Integrating research and evidence-based practice into educational activities
  • Participating in activities to promote the specialty of Nursing Professional Development
  • Collaborating with peers in the Professional Development team to provide hospital-wide nursing education, including the nurse residency program, annual mandatory education and competencies, and product conversions.

Qualifications:

  • Education Requirements: BSN required; MSN preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience in Transport, PICU, ED, and/or NICU; Prior Neonatal/Pediatric Transport and EMS experience preferred.
  • Certification and Licensure: PA Registered Nurse License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse (PHRN) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
  • Required Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word
