Job Description:

  • Execute nursing patient care duties for the assigned unit or department under the guidance of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess total nursing care in alignment with the established patient care philosophy.
  • Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles according to departmental and organizational policies.
  • Foster effective communication with various shifts to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain positive relations with different departments and nursing units.
  • Participate actively in all phases of education to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Identify and address existing and potential problems, implementing suitable solutions.
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
  • Administer medications and document patient care given.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions with RN, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
