This role involves collaborating with engineers, business development professionals, and financial experts to offer technical and cost-effective solutions to external customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the business development team to respond to customer inquiries about customized and existing products.
- Architect cutting-edge electronic systems and solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Provide rough-order-magnitude and proposal submittals to address customer requests effectively.
- Actively participate in the new program transfer process to seamlessly transition projects to the engineering execution team.
- Coordinate customer meetings and ensure alignment with customer requirements and statements of work.
- Generate cost and schedule information to support business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Over 5 years of experience in electronics system-level architecture and design, with a preference for space electronics or commercial high-speed digital systems.
- Design multi-board, backplane-based systems.
- Strategically divide functions across multiple boards in a system.
- Optimize systems for size, weight, and power constraints.
- Over 5 years of experience in board-level design, preferably in space digital electronics or commercial high-speed digital products, such as high-performance single board computers.
- Execute schematic capture, layout, board bring-up, and test activities.
- Proficiency in high-reliability FPGA design.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the design, assembly, and test phases of electronic product development.
- Proven experience in technical writing and proposals.
- Familiarity with cost estimation methods.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic business development environment and meet critical deadline commitments.
