Job Description:

This role entails overseeing, servicing, implementing preventative strategies, and rectifying a broad spectrum of crucial systems and equipment within a healthcare facility. You’ll be entrusted with ensuring the optimal performance of diverse systems, including electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems, boilers, pumps, chillers, fire suppression systems, fire detection systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, generators, and specialized medical support equipment. Collaboration with our esteemed Plant Operations experts and fellow team members is pivotal to maintaining top-tier performance across all equipment and systems.

Essential Functions:

  1. Execute remedial maintenance, addressing both minor and major repairs, across the following systems/equipment: electrical, plumbing, medical gas systems, boilers, pumps, chillers, fire suppression systems, fire detection systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, generators, and specialized medical support equipment.
  2. Undertake planned maintenance on the following systems/equipment: electrical, plumbing, medical gas systems, boilers, pumps, chillers, fire suppression systems, fire detection systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, generators, and specialized medical support equipment. Adhere to documented work procedures and established protocols to ensure precision and punctuality.
  3. Conduct routine equipment space inspections to validate the proper functionality of all apparatus, making necessary adjustments and remediations during start-up operations.
  4. Maintain meticulous plant logs to record activities and incidents comprehensively. Deliver comprehensive documented records of daily tasks, encompassing equipment identification and work summaries.
  5. Provide essential data to management for the effective management of stocked parts, ensuring appropriate levels are maintained, and essential supplies, components, and tools are readily available for scheduled tasks to minimize equipment/system downtime.
  6. Lend support to various additional assignments, contributing to the fulfillment of our client’s mission. Execute all delegated responsibilities within the stipulated timeframe.
  7. Engage periodically with architects, engineers, or contractors to furnish information about existing systems and equipment, particularly in the context of renovations and enhancements. Additionally, offer insights into new equipment selections.
  8. Revise or update records and drawings related to the equipment and systems under maintenance, as necessary, to guarantee the precision of these records.

Skills and Certifications (Mandatory Requirements):

  • Proven experience in at least four of the following systems/equipment categories: electrical, plumbing, medical gas systems, boilers, pumps, chillers, fire suppression systems, fire detection systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, generators, and specialized medical support equipment.
  • Background in a power plant setting.
  • Prior experience within a healthcare facility.

Preferred Qualifications Upon Hire:

  • Possession of a 500 Horse Power LA steam license.
  • EPA certification – Universal.
