  • Develop and maintain compliant individual education plans (IEPs) and other necessary compliance documents.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to address students’ instructional needs effectively.
  • Design and implement interventions based on student assessments and evaluations.
  • Deliver interventions and purposeful instruction tailored to students’ instructional levels.
  • Utilize collected data to inform instructional decisions and revisions.
  • Create, implement, and adjust appropriate programs to ensure access to the least restrictive environment (LRE) for each student.
  • Develop and implement suitable accommodations and modifications.
  • Provide training and supervision to paraeducators.
  • Facilitate individualized inclusion opportunities.


  • Possession of a current Washington state teaching certificate with a special education endorsement.
  • Previous experience or training in serving students with mild to moderate disabilities (preferred).
  • Proficiency in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans (preferred).
  • Experience or training in teaching students impacted by trauma and neglect (preferred).
  • Bilingual proficiency (preferred).
  • Required: Orientation & Mobility Specialist SPED/TVI or O&M experience or endorsements.

Position Details:

  • Start/End Date: April 1, 2024 – June 13, 2024
  • Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch); starting and ending times may vary daily based on student needs.
