Position: Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and enhance processes to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Champion and enforce control programs to manage environmental risk in a complex, high-risk operation.
- Lead the identification of hazards, risks, and opportunities and allocate necessary resources.
- Develop and implement emergency action plans, ensuring seamless communication during crises.
- Promote an organizational culture of environmental, health, and safety awareness through training and education.
- Perform audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Investigate incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to prevent future occurrences.
- Continuously assess and address hazards, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
- Expertise in managing air quality, water resources, waste, and wetlands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in science and mathematics.
- Proven ability to optimize resource allocation through effective process management.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards.
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Previous experience liaising with state and federal regulatory authorities.
This is a full-time onsite position with paid relocation available.
