Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for our award-winning client in the Building Materials sector. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial support to plant management, overseeing project capital and expenses, conducting financial analysis, and driving cost reduction initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
- Offer complete financial assistance to plant management.
- Meticulously manage project capital and expenses.
- Take on multi-plant responsibilities as the role evolves.
- Review, analyze, and approve project and facility maintenance expenditures.
- Prepare monthly forecasting and annual operating plans.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the development of plant Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, and standards.
- Contribute to the development of the plant’s financial operating plan.
- Prepare and analyze month-end reports and project updates.
- Collaborate with the IT team to address system issues.
- Reconcile related general ledger accounts.
- Actively enhance financial processes and procedures.
- Conduct financial and strategic analysis to support business decisions.
- Identify and drive cost reduction opportunities.
- Participate in plant/project procurement.
- Undertake additional assignments as needed.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- A minimum of 7 years of finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in cost accounting and/or accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and process-focused.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Experience with SAP or ERP systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting.
- Prior experience with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Moderate travel may be required (up to 10 days per year).
- The work environment is typical of an office setting.
