Job Description:

Our prestigious client is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Registered Nurse Med Surg. This role involves providing nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with various healthcare team members, patients, and their families, while also coordinating and delegating appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues. The position requires updating and managing patient records, entering and interpreting computerized data/information, and adhering to guidelines and policies established by the nursing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering exceptional nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
  • Effective communication with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
  • Coordinating and delegating appropriate patient care activities.
  • Updating and managing patient records with precision.
  • Entering and interpreting computerized data/information.
  • Adhering to guidelines and policies established by the nursing organization.
  • Assisting the leadership team in quality improvement projects.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required in certain units.
  • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
  • Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification required for certain practice areas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Fluency in another language is a plus.
