Our client, a leader in energy solutions, is actively seeking an experienced individual for the position of Onsite Assistant Project Manager. This exciting opportunity involves organizing and managing resources to achieve project objectives within specified constraints. The role requires technical expertise in advising on scope changes, quality assurance, and other technical aspects of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project engineering solutions from concept through design, engineering, and execution.
  • Implement and document agreed modifications.
  • Support Project Delivery teams during preliminary, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Define, develop, and implement control systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Compile engineering design reports and electrical/mechanical schematic drawings.
  • Collaborate on project design change activities.
  • Specify ‘specialist’ electrical equipment in collaboration with the Product team.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members for positive actions and accountability.
  • Adhere to relevant quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Travel 40-60% of the time across North America to various industries and environments.
  • Maintain a customer service focus with clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5-9 years of related experience.
  • 5+ years of significant project management experience.
  • Project Management certification (PMI, APM, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Background knowledge in related fields such as petrochemical or utilities is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting one-line diagrams, P&IDs, and process design packages.
  • Proactive identification of major issues and collaboration on corrective actions.
  • Effective collaboration and problem-solving skills.
