Description:

As a Project Engineer within our Award Winning Client’s Aircraft Test Equipment Group, this position serves as the primary contact for technical communications with our valued customers. The role involves working towards meeting the program’s quality, schedule, and cost objectives. This Project Engineer is a crucial contributor to the analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of intricate control hardware used in military, commercial vehicles, and equipment. The focus is on creating reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.

Day-to-day activities include coordinating the efforts of drafters, technicians, design analysts, manufacturing engineers, and other team members as needed. The Project Engineer plays a vital role in validating conceptual solutions through trade studies and analyses. Working as part of a design/development team, the incumbent contributes significantly to system or component performance and integration.

In the early stages of a program, collaboration with customers is key. Establishing problem statements, conceptualizing potential solutions through trade studies, and creating successful technical proposals are integral parts of this role. Expect frequent travel and the organization of presentations to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate team efforts, guiding drafters, technicians, design analysts, manufacturing engineers, and others as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of new product requirements through customer consultations.
  • Play a key role in the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write-ups.
  • Operate effectively within a creative, independent team.
  • Represent the company in a manner consistent with its technical reputation.
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
  • Validate conceptual solutions through trade studies and analyses.
