Your Impactful Role: As a Senior Specialist in Application Engineering, you will collaborate with key customers daily, driving the development of applications for our client’s solutions that empower the next generation of automotive devices. You’ll support our Electronics customers utilizing Thermal Interface, Gasketing, and Electronic Materials in their products. Explore customer design needs, translate them into material specifications, and guide internal new product development. Broaden insights into automotive electronics customer and industry design trends, identify business opportunities, and influence internal product and technology roadmap development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical collaborations with key customers.
  • Support Electronics customers using Thermal Interface, Gasketing, and Electronic Materials.
  • Explore customer design needs and translate them into material specifications.
  • Broaden insights into automotive electronics design trends.
  • Identify business opportunities and influence internal product and technology roadmap development.
  • Design, plan, and execute laboratory testing.
  • Generate technical data reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Lead ongoing harmonization and administration of laboratory test methods.
  • Provide product training for sales, marketing, and technical functions.
  • Operate and leverage the local application lab to expand collaborations with customers.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in polymer/material science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in product or applications development related to thermal management, adhesives, chemicals, or similar products used in the automotive industry.
  • (or) Ph.D. degree in polymer/material science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product or applications development related to thermal management, adhesives, chemicals, or similar products used in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in collaborating with customers or suppliers and managing high-complexity projects.
  • Familiarity with Automotive Electronics components and industry players.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, including international travel.
