Overview:
Our award-winning client, a prominent 600+ bed tertiary care academic medical center, is seeking a qualified Pediatrician to join their well-established Children’s Health Center Ambulatory and Nursery Academic Pediatrics Practice.
Responsibilities:
The Practice:
This role will involve becoming an integral part of a group of highly skilled Pediatricians dedicated to educating residents and medical students while providing compassionate care to a predominantly underserved population.
- The group consists of 5 Pediatricians and 2 CRNPs.
- The office is conveniently located on the West Reading campus, merely a block away from the hospital and less than one mile from the new Drexel Medical School.
- Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM; Wednesday and Thursday from 8 AM to 6 PM; participating in an on-call rotation approximately every 5 evenings and weekends, on average, with 1st call Family Medicine senior resident coverage for answering service calls.
- Participation in inpatient teaching rounds in the nursery occurs approximately every 5th week, involving Allopathic and Osteopathic Family Medicine residents and medical students rotating in Pediatrics.
- The hospital’s Pediatric services include around-the-clock in-house Neonatology coverage for deliveries and consults, a dedicated Pediatrics service in the Emergency Department, 24/7 Pediatrics Hospitalists, and some ambulatory Pediatrics specialty services.

Qualifications:
