Our client, an industry-leading organization, is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer in Houston, TX.

Requirements:

  1. Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, mandatory
  2. One of the following is mandatory:
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
    • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  3. Pediatric echo experience

Nice-To-Haves:

  1. Hospital experience highly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiogram tests on patients, ensuring technical quality of images.
  • Enter and monitor patient data.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Perform quality assurance on equipment.
  • Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Take emergency call within the department.
  • Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiac Sonography Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology (preferred).
  • License/Certification: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (mandatory), and one of the following is mandatory:
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
    • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients.
  • Commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process.
