Must-Haves:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  2. 5+ years of industrial experience.
  3. Extremely strong analytical and management skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Knowledge/experience in reliability engineering principles preferred.

Job Description: Position: Mechanical Engineer II

Location: Hawesville, KY

Reporting to: Maintenance and Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects involving budgeting, design, and installation management for engineered systems.
  • Design or redesign machine components to enhance reliability and productivity.
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide technical assistance to plant technicians.
  • Coordinate with maintenance supervision and production schedules to complete projects on time.
  • Stay updated on current trends, technology, codes, and standards, and apply this information effectively.
  • Ensure reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems/processes throughout the plant.
  • Improve equipment reliability and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) events.
  • Implement/maintain predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, infrared scanning, ultrasonic, and oil analysis.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of equipment operations, maintenance procedures, safety policies, and operating standards.
  • Follow environmental rules/procedures to minimize environmental impact.
  • Adhere to safety rules/procedures to prevent injuries and maintain safe equipment and conditions.
