Senior Manufacturing Engineer

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Prismatic (Complex Milling) Manufacturing Group based in East Aurora, NY. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of new product/development processes and applying innovative manufacturing technologies to existing production programs. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, with a focus on CAD/CAM CNC programming and CNC Milling machine processing (4 and 5 axis machining).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and integrate new and emerging technologies in manufacturing engineering.
  • Coordinate Design for Manufacturing initiatives across various development engineering groups.
  • Define manufacturing procedures, operation sequencing, tooling and gauge lists, create and validate N/C programs, and develop detailed operations sheets and work instructions for complex machined parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Enhance and support mature programs through CAD/CAM, custom macros, and manual coding.
  • Establish, monitor, and update engineered or estimated time standards for setup and run hours, man-to-machine ratios, and economic run quantities.
  • Provide cost estimates for new business capture and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate daily with diverse teams to resolve process-related challenges.
  • Take on leadership opportunities assigned by the Group Lead and/or Manufacturing Engineer Manager.
  • Support production automated manufacturing cells, driving process stability to achieve reduced attended labor and human factor variation.
  • Occasional international and/or domestic travel as required.

Skills and Certifications:

  • CAD/CAM CNC programming experience (NX preferred).
  • CNC Milling machine processing, tooling, and programming (4 and 5 axis machining).
