Full-time Onsite Opportunity with Paid Relocation

Our client, a renowned industry leader with a myriad of accolades, is actively seeking a qualified individual for the position of Senior R&D Manager in the Aerospace Manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of innovative products, materials, and processes to address both internal and external challenges.
  • Provide guidance to the leadership team at the pilot plant for effective equipment operation and support of production requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate daily operations of a highly skilled team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee task assignment, development plans, performance management, and hiring decisions.
  • Foster relationships with partners in various business units, promoting collaboration on potential business ventures.
  • Create and maintain an environment conducive to open innovation partnerships and incubation of new business opportunities.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement (CI) Tools to enhance Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Costs (SPQRC).
  • Administer and manage the budget for assigned R&D projects.
  • Provide regular updates on R&D efforts to executive leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related engineering field.
  • Six years of minimum experience in metallurgical processing and specification requirements.
  • Two years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in materials for the aerospace industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD Degree.
  • Experience with metallurgical processing of Ni, Fe, Co, and Ti based alloys.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Technical knowledge of metallurgical processing for Fe-based, Co-based, Ti-based, and Ni-based alloys.
  • Leadership experience in leading cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Operational expertise in production, operations, and materials planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Organizational agility to collaborate across departments and business units for technical development projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
