Job Description:
Are you ready to take on the challenge of driving operational excellence and fostering continuous improvement within our client’s dynamic organization? As the Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing Business Excellence criteria and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. This role involves leading a team dedicated to enhancing processes and metrics, achieving targeted business results, and contributing to corporate objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead Operational Excellence initiatives using our client’s proven Business Excellence standards and Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Lead the team responsible for Lean coordination and championing Lean tools, ensuring the attainment of corporate objectives.
- Identify and prioritize engineering projects and Lean events, shepherding them to successful completion while enhancing plant processes and metrics.
- Take charge of the CI and manufacturing engineering function, emphasizing safety, productivity, quality, customer metrics, and cost-efficiency.
- Provide effective leadership and direction to manufacturing engineers and engineering supervisors, establishing and monitoring meaningful goals that align with plant objectives.
- Standardize and consistently deploy manufacturing processes and explore novel materials, equipment, processes, technology, and procedures to enhance product lines and their manufacturing processes.
- Manage the capacity analysis and the execution of the annual capital plan.
- Prepare and manage the budget for the manufacturing engineering department.
- Contribute to Strategic Planning by preparing 5-year Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Lean, and Capital plans.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of two (2) years of management experience.
- Authorization to work in the U.S without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing from an accredited institution.
- Lean certification and/or proficiency in Lean methodologies.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in cost reduction strategies.
- Five (5) years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proven project management experience.
