Our client, a leading organization in the Manufacturing & Production industry, is currently looking for a Maintenance Manager in Davenport, Iowa. This role involves overseeing various maintenance functions to support plant-wide operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead tactical maintenance activities through the staff.
  2. Develop the department’s annual plans, objectives, and KPIs.
  3. Monitor, track, and achieve annual goals, ensuring accountability through performance management.
  4. Foster close working relationships with peers across the plant.
  5. Manage the Central Shops, including the Machine Shop, Truck Repair Shop, and Roll Shops.
  6. Drive key objectives in Environmental and Health and Safety (EHS) and Cost Controls.
  7. Oversee approximately 10 salaried resources and 100 hourly resources.
  8. Lead organizational change and implement cost reduction initiatives.
  9. Develop business presentations and proposals as needed.
  10. Support the plant’s craft training team in the development and execution of apprenticeship programs.
  11. Collaborate with the EHS Coordinator to achieve annual EHS objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in machine repair, maintenance management, and the manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of three years as a department manager, including supervision of salaried staff and hourly craft employees.
  • Minimum of three years of experience managing multimillion-dollar department budgets.
  • Ability to lead organizational change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree in business, finance, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Five years of experience managing and controlling plant-wide budgets exceeding $50M annually.
  • Three years of experience leading contractual negotiations with manufacturing unions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Proficient in developing logistics and planning initiatives.
