JPS-520 Civil Engineer – Traffic

Our Award Winning Client is currently seeking a dynamic Professional Traffic Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time onsite position with paid relocation available. Our client, renowned for its national presence and numerous accolades, is committed to excellence in transportation engineering and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver traffic engineering and transportation planning services for TxDOT and municipal clients in Texas.
  • Contribute to transportation safety studies in support of municipal vision zero initiatives.
  • Mentor junior technical staff members to enhance team capabilities.
  • Participate in active transportation and complete streets analysis projects.
  • Coordinate data collection and analysis efforts for various projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of technical projects within budgetary constraints.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in proposal preparation, business development activities, and client interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
  • TxDOT pre-certifications in Traffic Engineering and Operations Studies (Work Categories 7.1.1-7.5.1) and Traffic Operations Design (Work Categories 8.1.1-8.6.1), or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in transportation projects, including TxDOT and municipal projects.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and business development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in traffic operations tools such as Synchro, HCS, Vissim.
  • Familiarity with AutoCADD, Microstation, and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as needed.
