Job Description
Our company is currently in search of an IT Windows System Administrator to join our Davenport Works Team in Davenport, Iowa.

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Support the systems running in the Manufacturing Infrastructure environment at Davenport Works.  This infrastructure is comprised of VMWare running multiple operating systems, Windows physical machines, SAN’s, and backup storage devices, as well as other manufacturing software applications.
Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating system, database, functional application issues.
Operate with the company’s IS standards and conventions and applicable the company’s Unit IT Standards.
Install, configure, and deliver functional systems using standard IT application lifecycle methodologies.
Manage the hardware and software inventories.
Support IT MES developers at the location.
Work across a global IT support team to share information and best practices.
Key Objectives
Demonstrate knowledge of the practical application of systems and technology. This includes knowledge of systems architecture, hardware, operations, and life cycle.
Demonstrate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and SQL Server configuration and troubleshooting.
Develop a working knowledge of the functional system deployed in the environment (including Rockwell Factory Talk, OSI PI).
Manage the support and maintenance process for the systems in your area of responsibility.
Use productivity tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) effectively.
Develop an understanding of the business processes.
Demonstrate critical thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
3 years’ minimum experience as an IT professional in a business environment.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e., ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
