Job Description:
Our client is currently in need of an Equipment Engineering Specialist with a focus on optimizing process equipment and addressing equipment and process challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the development and implementation of Standard Practices for equipment and processes while maintaining strong relationships with equipment suppliers and staying informed about industry advancements. This role also involves providing support for major customer projects and participating in technical assessments of facilities and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement equipment optimization to enhance quality and capacity.
- Tackle equipment and process challenges in line with our client’s specialized processes.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives within your area of expertise, collaborating with other resources as needed.
- Develop and implement industry best practices for equipment and processes, identify areas for improvement, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Foster solid connections with equipment suppliers and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
- Provide engineering and operational support for significant capital improvement projects.
- Act as a valuable resource for plant personnel, offering guidance on capital investments and process enhancements.
- Lead the corporate Refractory Task Force team.
- Offer support to our client’s major customers across their various locations with equipment and process expertise.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Five (5) years of experience applying mechanical engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in equipment and processing related to specialized equipment and furnaces, including refractory.
- Willingness and ability to travel to our client’s facilities worldwide.
This position offers full-time, onsite employment with paid relocation.
