Engineering Technician II / Field Service – Semiconductor OTA4MA

Full-Time Onsite with Paid Relocation

Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced technicians with installing, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining semiconductor process equipment, including PVD, CVD, RIE, Ultra-high vacuum systems, IBE/IBD, and vacuum robot systems.
  • Monitor, inspect, and maintain semiconductor equipment to prevent malfunctions, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair high vacuum equipment, such as PVD and etching systems, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and provide periodic reports.
  • Monitor stock levels of service parts and equipment, ordering and replacing parts as necessary to minimize downtime.
  • Train Field Service Engineers and customer technicians on equipment usage, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Develop and implement training plans for each FSE and customer technician.
  • Identify, analyze, and repair product failures, ensuring quality and efficiency in operations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, travel overnight for business, and potentially extend business travel for 1-2 months as needed.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship or Green Card Holders only apply.
  • Typically requires general education and/or vocational training plus 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience in semiconductor vacuum equipment.
  • Experience with highly complex multi-chamber systems preferred.
  • PLC experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds individually; assistance available for heavier loads.
  • Varied physical activities including standing, walking, typing, grasping, talking, and hearing.
  • Working primarily in a cleanroom environment, wearing appropriate safety gear.
  • Exposure to various physical conditions including moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and chemicals.
