The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing strategies to uphold uncompromising quality, outstanding patient safety, and an exceptional patient/family experience. Minimum: Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s in Nursing or a Related Field.
Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Required: Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire, CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred: Certified Emergency Nursing within one year.
Minimum: 3-4 years of experience as an RN, with at least 18 months of RN experience in an Emergency Department and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience.
Moderate sedation competency within six months of hire into this position.
Possesses interpersonal skills ensuring effective communication with staff, patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
Knowledgeable in management systems and processes.
Demonstrated ability to establish effective work relationships, assess departmental needs, develop and implement planned interventions, and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
Ability to facilitate project management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance teamwork through effective role modeling.
Familiarity with The Joint Commission requirements.
Computer literacy required, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Skills and Certifications (Bold indicates required):
