Job Purpose and Impact:

The Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer will play a key role in advancing our client’s electrical engineering standards and driving improvements in production quality, efficiency, and volume. With a focus on safety and sustainability, you will leverage your technical expertise to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and enhance organizational capabilities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and oversee the strategic vision and direction for electrical engineering.
  • Identify and address gaps in electrical engineering applications through rigorous auditing and control mechanisms.
  • Propose and implement recommendations to improve performance and manage risk effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select and deploy tools and methodologies that promote best practices.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of electrical engineering standards and deliverables for capital projects.
  • Provide direct support and deliver services to the organization.
  • Address complex issues independently while escalating critical issues as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in the design and predictive maintenance of industrial power systems up to 15KV.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70-E electrical safe work practices and experience in leading electrical safety initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management and process safety experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Electric Power distribution design and maintenance, including High Horsepower Motors, Medium Voltage equipment, and Medium Voltage Switchgears and Transformers.
  • Familiarity with predictive technologies such as MCA, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, and machinery lubrication.
  • Experience in electrical power equipment testing (NETA).
  • Basic understanding of IEC and ISA standards.
  • Familiarity with Corn Milling, Oil and Gas, or Petrochemical equipment and processes.
  • Electrical Power Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) pursuing a Professional Engineer license.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70-B standards.
