JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
As an Electrical Reliability Engineer, you will utilize your technical expertise to design, develop, and maintain governance standards, applications, solutions, and measurements. Your focus will be on enhancing production quality, efficiency, and volume for our business. In this role, you will engage in routine activities related to electrical engineering to facilitate projects and enhance our capabilities by providing engineering support to the organization.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Apply general knowledge of electrical engineering principles, terms, and practices to support the design and construction of safe and reliable operations.
- Coordinate and directly deliver services to support operations.
- Implement and support electrical engineering standards and deliverables in capital projects.
- Monitor and support project progress for initiatives of low to medium complexity, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and portfolio prioritization.
- Establish, monitor, and track audit control mechanisms within your scope to measure performance and provide actionable solutions for improvement.
- Assist senior team members in assessing electrical engineering development and application opportunities and disseminating them across common practice areas.
- Analyze and develop conclusions related to areas of improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance performance while considering acceptable risk tolerance.
- Independently resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating more challenging problems to the appropriate staff.
- Fulfill other assigned duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management skills.
- Strong technical and mathematical aptitude.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Over 5 years of experience in Electric Power distribution design and maintenance.
- Proficiency with predictive technologies such as MCA, vibration, infrared, ultrasound, and machinery lubrication.
- Experience in electrical power equipment testing (NETA).
- Basic understanding of National Electric Code (NEC), IEC standards, and ISA standards.
- Familiarity with Corn Milling equipment and processes.
- Electrical Power Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT pursuing a Professional Engineer license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
