Job Overview:

As an Electrical Engineer at Our Award Winning Client, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and development of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical sub-systems and components for our premium quality products and services. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical sub-systems and components to meet project requirements.
  • Draft detailed design specifications and develop test plans for evaluating electrical components and sub-systems, including motors, transformers, contactors, drives, relays, switches, heaters, and sensors.
  • Create drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Creo, and PADS.
  • Define test specifications for electrical and electronic controls.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on sub-system and component development.
  • Ensure designs meet marketing specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Provide production support, contribute to quality improvements, and problem-solving efforts.
  • Specify and implement new components and microcontrollers for new designs.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 5 to 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Motor drive experience is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in engineering design software and equipment.
  • Experience with assembly, C, or higher-level programming for microcontroller-based electronic controls.
  • Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on project goals and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a hands-on approach.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 5 to 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with assembly, C, or higher-level programming for microcontroller-based electronic controls.
  • Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Motor drive experience.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software and equipment.
