Requirements:

  1. Possession of a valid license to practice as a Sonographer in the state.
  2. Registered with ARDMS (RVT), ARRT (VS), or CCI (RVS).
  3. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.

Job Description:

  • Sign-on Bonus: $20,000.00
  • Housing Allowance: $1,000.00 for up to twelve months upon relocation

About the Location: Nestled in a picturesque mountain community, our client’s facility is located in proximity to the stunning Jemez Mountains. The community is health-oriented, boasting its own ski hill, golf course, and aquatic center, where Olympic swim teams train. The location is also home to significant historical sites, with Santa Fe and Taos just an hour’s drive away.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing patient history and physician’s orders.
  • Educating patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Selecting the transducer and making equipment adjustments based on test specifications.
  • Ensuring completeness of the physician’s requisition; consulting with the ultrasound physician for any clarifications.
  • Implementing safety standards and conducting quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshooting, resolving, and/or reporting equipment malfunctions.
  • Recognizing the significance of visualized structures and differentiating artifacts from anatomical/pathological structures within equipment limitations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved program in Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and take appropriate action.
