Job Description: Our award-winning client, a renowned healthcare organization, is seeking an Echo Sonographer to join their dynamic team. This full-time onsite position comes with paid relocation.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct echocardiography on adult and pediatric patients following established protocols.
  • Prioritize patient lists based on severity of illness, special procedures, and equipment availability.
  • Perform quality control checks and manage supplies for room operation.
  • Ensure maintenance and disinfection of reusable instruments.
  • Review patient information, confirm exam type and diagnosis, and request clarification if needed.
  • Download examination images and data into the system; enter findings upon completion of the exam.
  • Mentor and evaluate ultrasound students as required.
  • Communicate technical and patient care information following established processes and timelines.

Qualifications: Education:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalency.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasound or cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound principles, concepts, and methodology for high-quality diagnostic studies.
  • Ability to identify differences between healthy and pathological areas in images.
  • Tailoring the scope of an exam based on pathology.
  • Knowledge of cardiac cross-sectional anatomy and pathophysiology.
  • Familiarity with m-mode, doppler, and color flow characteristics.
  • Recognition of cardiac structures viewed from various angles.
  • Understanding of ultrasound physics and instrumentation for artifact elimination and image optimization.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cardiovascular equipment.

Certifications/License:

  • Current certification by a recognized medical sonography credentialing body OR certification within one year of hire date.
  • BLS required upon hire – AHA American Heart Association.
