Director of Transfer Center Position Summary

Collaborate with the National Director to develop growth and outreach strategies. Create patient-centered Transfer Center protocols ensuring timely and compliant transfers. Oversee a 24/7 operation in alignment with hospital goals and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and employee evaluation.
  • Foster effective communication with hospital and community leaders.
  • Ensure 24/7 operation aligns with the hospital’s mission and regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement and integration of department services.
  • Approve supply orders and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Business Administration, Management, or related field.

Experience:

  • Preferred: 5 years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting, including 3 years of supervisory experience. Previous experience in managing a transfer center program is desirable.

Certifications:

  • Preferred: Registered Nurse license; BLS.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift/position up to 25 lbs. Push/pull up to 25 lbs. of force. Frequent sitting. Moderate standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and bending. Manual dexterity, mobility, touch, auditory to perform all the related duties of the position.
