Director of ICU/PCU

Level: Senior

Reports To: Market Chief Nursing Officer

Full-Time Onsite with Paid Relocation: $5,000 relocation stipend for eligible candidates living at least 3 hours away from the facility.

Position Summary: Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized healthcare provider, is searching for a talented individual to serve as the Director of ICU/PCU. In this senior-level role, you will be the first-line manager responsible for the specific nursing area, its patient population, and assigned staff. With 24-hour responsibility for unit activity, you will plan, coordinate, and direct fiscal, personnel, and patient care activities, ensuring standards of care and practice are met in a cost-effective manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Minimum Work Experience: Previous supervisory experience in nursing (required).
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Current clinical competence in an area relevant to the patient population.
  • Certifications/License: Current unencumbered multistate or North Carolina Nursing License. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
