Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Director of Emergency Department in Fort Mohave, AZ.


  1. Bachelor’s degree (Required)
  2. Certifications: ACLS required upon hire
  3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  4. Arizona Registered Nurse and/or Compact State Registered Nurse (Required)


  1. TNCC Certification (Preferred)
  2. Master’s degree (Preferred)
  3. 5 years in ED middle or upper management

Job Description: Join our award-winning client with multiple accolades across various locations. As the Director of the Emergency Department, you will play a pivotal role in providing administrative oversight and direction at Valley View Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive ongoing quality/performance improvement processes in the Emergency Department
  • Oversee daily workflow, staffing, orientation, training, and development of department employees
  • Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies
  • Facilitate ED staff meetings and participate in assigned committees and task forces
  • Monitor patient volumes, quality of care, and staff performance for continuous improvement
  • Investigate and resolve patient, physician, and staff complaints and concerns
  • Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards
  • Promote a collaborative team approach in providing care for all ED patients
  • Interpret and enforce hospital policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for self and department employees
  • Utilize problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to foster effective work relationships
  • Maintain required competencies for self and all employees within the department
