Our esteemed client, a renowned organization with multiple accolades, is looking to fill the role of Cost Analyst. This full-time onsite position comes with a generous bonus structure and paid relocation.
- Collaborate with diverse departments to understand processes and establish/maintain standard costs, labor, and overhead rates for various product lines.
- Review the accuracy and reasonableness of recorded transactions, including manufacturing, labor, distribution, and shipments.
- Analyze monthly variances from standard costs, covering direct labor, overhead & departmental cost rates, and inventory.
- Issue manufacturing efficiency reports and conduct research for analytical studies on cost analyses and profitability.
- Ensure timely submission of accurate inventory and gross margin schedules to management.
- Reconcile sales, cost, and inventory liability accounts by customer type and division.
- Lead and manage the Engineering Change Notification (ECN) process, evaluating and reporting on cost-saving initiatives related to product development and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Perform financial analysis related to new product launch efforts.
- Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries, and analyze inventory evaluation and roll forward.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with relevant standards, promoting a robust internal control environment.
- Maintain internal control documentation and conduct internal control tests.
- Analyze cost accounting data and provide support for cycle count/physical inventories.
- Contribute to special projects as required.
