Job Description:

Our Award Winning Client seeks a talented Controls Engineer for our Orlando, FL location. This role demands expertise in DCS/PLC programming, control panel design, instrumentation, and Ethernet-based control systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement DCS/PLC control systems ensuring compliance with local codes.
  • Develop control configuration documents including system design descriptions and acceptance test plans.
  • Interface with facility design to optimize panel location and maintenance.
  • Perform system design calculations/analysis such as short circuit protection and noise reduction.
  • Develop schematics of control system configuration, wiring, and network layout using AutoCAD.
  • Act as technical lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Manage smaller projects including scheduling, work assignment, and progress evaluation.
  • Assist with initial start-up and debugging of integrated systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Ethernet-based control systems, safety systems, and instrumentation.
  • Experience with PLC system design (Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens) required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD desired.

 

Additional Information:

  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
  • Occasional night shifts may be required for installs during off/closed hours.
