Our prestigious client is seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Clinical Documentation Manager 1. The selected candidate will be at the forefront of our Clinical Documentation Enhancement Program, playing a vital role in providing leadership and overseeing the program’s operations. This position involves accountability for financial aspects, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and compliance with internal policies.
Lead and manage the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Program.
Budgeting, planning, and monitoring budget variances.
Ensure unit operations align with state and federal healthcare regulatory agency guidelines (ACDIS & AHIMA) and hospital policies.
Enhance overall medical record documentation quality, completeness, and accuracy through comprehensive review and evaluation.
Proactively engage with healthcare providers to seek clarification and ensure specificity when needed.
Educate senior leaders and physicians on documentation guidelines continuously.
Skills and Certifications:
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Familiarity with Utilization Review criteria.
Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, CADP, and other regulatory and compliance requirements.
CDI Credential (CCDS, CDIP).
Experience with Electronic Health Records (3M, Epic).
