Description:
Under the guidance of the Department Director and Imaging Manager, and in collaboration with healthcare professionals, the Imaging Technician I conducts technical diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities according to departmental standards for a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Serving as a liaison to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff, this role actively participates in quality control and organizational enhancement initiatives. Additionally, the position involves adherence to an on-call schedule to meet staffing requirements and occasional travel to off-campus locations for radiographic or fluoroscopic procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in alignment with departmental standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure precise and timely imaging.
- Act as a liaison to patients, families, the public, and the medical staff.
- Engage in quality control and organizational improvement activities.
- Follow the on-call schedule to fulfill staffing needs.
- Conduct radiographic or fluoroscopic procedures at off-campus locations as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of a radiologic technology program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
- California Radiologic Technologist license upon appointment.
- National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hiring.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon appointment.
Preferred:
- Prior experience as a radiologic technologist in a hospital setting.
