Job Description:

As the Associate Medical Director, you will play a crucial role in coordinating highly specialized care within the interdisciplinary team. Essential Job Duties:

  • Take responsibility for the medical care of program participants, adhering to best practice clinical standards and procedures.
  • Recruit, interview, train, and supervise PACE Primary Care Providers and other clinical staff.
  • Provide clinical care in a capacity suited for the program’s needs.
  • Support the development of innovative care pathways for complex conditions to enhance participant quality of life.
  • Oversee the Quality Improvement (QI) program, committees, and reports to the leadership team.
  • Participate in the executive management team to provide planning and oversight leadership.
  • Act as a community liaison with healthcare professionals, assisting with recruitment and orientation of contracted providers.

Job Requirements:

  • Commitment to improving experience, health, and value for participants.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with other providers and the care team.
  • Excellent clinical, organizational, and communication skills in settings with elderly participants.
  • Current knowledge of chronic care/geriatric issues and best practices.
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Active California physician license without restrictions.
  • Board Certification – Internal Medicine or Family Practice, with a specialty in Geriatrics preferred.
  • Successful completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
