Our Award Winning Client is seeking a dynamic professional for the position of Area Maintenance Manager. This is a full-time onsite role with paid relocation opportunities. Join our client, a nationally recognized company with a track record of winning numerous awards.

Your Role: As an integral part of our client’s team, you will lead and guide multi-craft technicians and team members to address maintenance challenges, reduce costs, and enhance equipment reliability. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Manager, this hands-on leadership role contributes to fostering a safe, union-free team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion an injury-free workplace, promoting safety and excellence in all areas.
  • Motivate employees towards common goals in a positive, union-free team environment.
  • Lead process safety improvements and collaborate with operations to maintain a positive relationship.
  • Develop approximately 32 hourly technicians and 2 salaried Front Line Leaders.
  • Drive proactive maintenance practices, process reliability improvements, and lead area outage planning.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage the area maintenance budget.

Skills and Technical Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the pulp and paper industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in leading troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial safety procedures and regulations.
  • Familiarity with maintenance best practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
