Job Description: Our Award-Winning Client is looking for an Aftermarket Sales Representative/Account Manager responsible for building and maintaining relationships with current customers of Multivac packaging or processing equipment. Acting as a consultative resource, this role ensures smooth machine operation while offering spare parts, service audits, maintenance contracts, and other resources. Covering the states of MI, IL, and IN, the position requires a proactive approach to enhance the reliability and efficiency of Multivac machinery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations of Multivac equipment, proposing service product proposals for optimal readiness.
Analyze machine age and cycle count, engaging customers to plan and sell service products.
Provide timely proposals to customers upon receipt of Technical Service Quotes (TSQ).
Submit requests for proposals to Service Products Coordinators, ensuring timely provision of sales documents.
Evaluate new machine types in the territory, coordinating with Parts Inventory Manager for recommended parts.
Maintain a database of customer follow-up calls, quotations, and routine calls using CRM, SAP, and TSQ systems.
Validate the accuracy of customer service products documentation and revise as necessary.
Qualifications: To succeed in this role, candidates should ideally possess a bachelor’s degree, consultative sales experience, and at least two years of technical sales experience in relevant areas. Practical mechanical experience is also preferred.
Language and Computer Skills: Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience with CRM and ERP systems is beneficial.
Certificates and Licenses: A current valid driver’s license is required, and the ability to obtain a passport for travel.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to non-weather elements, and occasional loud noise. Physical demands include occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, with specific vision and mobility requirements.
