Job Description: Director of Nursing – Administrative Role (Full Time)

Our Award-Winning Client, known for its excellence in healthcare, is looking for a dynamic individual to oversee large daily nursing operations. As the Administrative Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services to ensure the delivery of adequate and competent patient care across multiple units. This role includes managing FTE’s/Departments reporting to it.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in developing, maintaining, and evaluating organizational planning systems aligned with the ANA Code of Ethics and Nursing standards.
  • Act as an administrator on call, serve as a patient ombudsman, and represent the CNO during their absence.
  • Provide oversight to direct reports and staffing office functions.

Qualifications: Education:

  • Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a health care-related field or a Bachelor of Nursing.
  • Preferred: Master of Nursing or master’s in a health care-related field.

Experience:

  • Required: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.

Certifications:

  • Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice or policy; CPR.
